Written and Directed by Liliana Alberto Espejo Escénico, Oaxaca - NY. A musical monologue to honor the memory of immigrants who have passed away, it is presented through an artistic ritual for the families who have lived the constant mourning of separation with poetic symbolisms that identify our culture and traditions. Cruzando Ensueños is a piece that takes place simultaneously in Oaxacan communities where there are families fragmented by the absence of women and men who have left in search of better living conditions, as well as in the United States, in the cities where they have come to fulfill their needs. This is how we intend to be a link between migrants and the communities where their families are. The simultaneity of the presentations in the United States and Oaxaca, creates an intersection in space-time where through a dreamlike journey, we find ourselves all together despite the borders.
